Camps Development Associate

The Camps Development Associate is responsible for the day-to-day conduit between Resource Advancement (Marketing, Donor Relations, Creative Studio, Faith Engagement) and CRISTA Camps. Strive to meet the fundraising needs of Camps with a specific focus on acquisition to support their financial goals, and effectively communicate the mission, vision, and values of each ministry.
Develop and manage a portfolio of mid-donors whose gifts range from $500 to $2,500 dollars annually through a moves management program to meet an annual goal. Engage donors with the intent to qualify there ability and interest in camps and get a gift in 6 months. Screen and start relationships with major donor prospects and transition them to the head of camps.

Write and edit fundraising communications for different audiences to increase conversion, support, and awareness to ensure viability through resources including but not limited to collateral, donor-centered fundraising appeals and newsletters, brochures, social media, website content, feature stories, and emails.
Work collaboratively with Camps personnel and Resource Advancement leadership to develop fluid strategic plans for marketing and fundraising of each ministry. Identify joint goals, operational tactics and action steps to meet those goals, full production timelines, and Key Performance Indicators to measure progress throughout the fiscal year.
Make contact with donors primarily via the phone and through written communication (at times in-person). Take donors through an engagement cycle - identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Work towards and meet an annual fundraising goal.
Make regular phone calls to new donors. This often involves a first-time conversation with a donor or a cold call to someone new.
Help the head of camps schedule and prioritize in his schedule donor contacts. Including some administrative support in relation to fundraising.
Periodically attend camp events and collect ministry stories understanding camps programming at a basic level, as well as know the giving and funding opportunities to communicate CRISTA Camp's work to our donors.
Grow all donor segments proactively by being alert to new marketing materials and ministry news that might be appropriate to donor's individual interests and donation commitments.
Monitor progress and update metrics toward the annual fundraising plan on a weekly basis, and communicate progress with leaders from Camps and Resourced Advancement. Formulate contingency plans when metrics indicate revenue and/or production goals are in danger of not being met.
Serve as the daily contact with CRISTA Creative Studio to ensure that production needs are on track. Ensure unity across different platforms: web, print, mobile, etc. Facilitate the review and approval process for appropriate projects between Camps and Resource Advancement.
Participate and contribute to appropriate staff meetings, campaign creative planning meetings, production meetings, devotions, etc.
Work collaboratively with supervisor, co-workers and customers.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

A deep and abiding faith that is fully surrendered to the will of Jesus Christ, evidenced by a lifestyle that is consistent with biblical principles in word and deed. Commitment to spiritual growth and development. Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-by-year experience.
One year of professional writing experience.
Microsoft Office
CRM Database
Two years of marketing and/or fundraising.
Project management, persuasive writing, digital writing/marketing, and database experience.
Salesforce or Raiser's Edge

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
